Big Changes Ahead for Destination z

4/5/2019 12:10:24 PM |

In early March, IBM Systems magazine, IBM Z sent a mailing to readers on its Z EXTRA e-newsletter, digital magazine and webinar subscription lists encouraging them to become Destination z members. Within two and a half weeks, the Destination z membership list increased by 454. That’s 454 additional people who are interested in maintaining the vitality of the IBM Z mainframe.

Destination z also had a booth at SHARE 2019 in Phoenix. Our content, along with our renowned SHARE caricatures, encouraged over 60 new people from the conference to become Destination z members.

This exciting membership expansion isn’t the only big news. With ibmsystemsmag.com undergoing a major redesign, we’ll be including Destination z content on a subsection of the new website. Articles will have a fresh look and feel with improved navigation and usability. We expect this migration to be completed by July 2019.

Some things won’t be changing, however. The content of Destination z will continue to focus on helping show the value of IBM Z. Our Destination z Enterprise Computing Scholarship program, which provides scholarships to college student pursuing mainframe coursework, will also continue.
