The IBM Destination z community is pleased to announce the winners of the fourth annual IBM Destination z Enterprise Computing Scholarship, run in the fall semester of 2011. To be considered for this scholarship, students must have demonstrated excellence in their enterprise computing coursework, with plans for continued growth on the mainframe platform in their academic and professional careers. The field this year was extremely talented and the largest pool of applicants we've ever had, 29, making the judges' decisions very difficult.

The winners of the 2011 scholarship, chosen by a panel of representatives from Trident Services, IBM Systems Magazine, Innovation Data Processing, 21st Century Software and IBM, are:

Vance Morris, West Texas A&M University (Greg Zaubi Memorial Scholarship winner)
Subashree Ramachandran, Northern Illinois University
Bartis Hawley-Wall, West Texas A&M University
David Szura, Illinois State University
Sean Robinson, Rochester Institute of Technology
Wenbo Zhang, Syracuse University
Thanaphon Chavengsaksongkram, West Texas A&M University
Jack Hake, Marist College
Joel Moss, Marist College
Eduardo Diaz, Texas A&M University
Aisha Henderson, Huston-Tillotson University
Chris Richardson, University of South Carolina

Congratulations to all of these student scholarship winners, and best wishes for their continued academic success.

Special thanks to all of the Destination z sponsors (featured on this page) who made this scholarship program possible.

The Destination z community looks forward to continuing to encourage the next generation of enterprise systems professionals. If you'd like to become involved in the Destination z Enterprise Computing Scholarship as a sponsor, please contact Mike Todd at todd@us.ibm.com.
